It's not every day you get to meet an NBA player, but today the kids attending the BX Player Development Camp at Davis College got lucky.Kevin Jones, the Big East leader in points and rebounds at West Virginia University last year, recently signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He stopped by the camp to sign some autographs and offer his advice to the kids, and they were more than excited.
Twelve-year-old Hanna Strawn, of Seton Catholic Schools exclaimed,
"Oh my gosh he's awesome! It was so fun to meet him and stuff. He said to keep working and follow your dreams, listen to your parents and just have fun," said Hanna Swarn of Seton Catholic.?
Kevin Jones said he has enjoyed meeting local kids, commenting,
"It's good to interact with them, and try to give them as much advice as you can, just try to teach them the basics of working hard and trying to accomplish your goals," said Kevin Jones.
Jones will continue to work out in Binghamton with trainer Rob Baxter, from Binghamton, until he heads to Ohio to make his NBA debut with the Cavaliers in just a few weeks.
